Taking The Initiative

Educator-Workforce Housing Pilot Program
The Educator Workforce Housing Pilot began with a practical question: could housing support help address the challenge of recruiting and retaining educators in Kern County, California?
What started as an idea developed into a broader research and outreach initiative. I explored existing educator housing programs, local workforce needs, potential funding and policy considerations, and recently enacted federal legislation that may support similar efforts.

Debt Payoff Planner
The Debt Payoff Planning Tool grew from wanting to help my daughter learn how to handle her finances.
Â
The tool allows users to enter multiple debts and compare the popular Snowball and Avalanche repayment methods. Users see how changes in monthly payments can affect both the payoff timeline and the total amount of interest paid.
An additional scenario feature lets users experiment with increased payments and immediately see the potential impact.Â

AI-Assisted Expense Review Workbook
I developed a structured workbook and an AI-assisted prompt for an S-Corp LLC to organize expenses by fiscal year. Expenses are uploaded and categorized to identify potential deductions requiring additional attention, summarize results, and make the information easier to review.

AI-Supported Professional Email
This project explores how educators can use generative AI as a drafting and reflection tool when preparing professional emails. Rather than providing a single formula, the presentation demonstrates a repeatable process for giving AI the appropriate context, identifying the intended audience and purpose, setting the desired tone, reviewing the draft critically, and revising the result before submission.

Commissioned to develop branded merchandise for Green Flash LLC, I created and refined a visual identity through multiple rounds of client feedback, adapted designs for apparel and accessories, and helped launch a Fourthwall storefront.
